PROJECT:
Design an event theme and supporting graphics for an annual virtual sales meeting attended virtually and in -person.

CHALLENGE:
Design a fresh event theme on an aggressive timeline.

CONTRIBUTIONS:
Designer: Event logo, supporting graphics, and event guidelines.
Art Director: Guided junior designers and external agencies on proper usage of the brand kit, by providing brand training and reviews of production work.

The VMware Worldwide Kickoff 2023 theme lock up “Accelerate,” is the focus of the design system. The typography is set in bold, italic capital letters, creating a clean, impactful impression and a strong feeling of forward momentum.

The typography is rendered in a white-to-Ocean gradient, giving a nod to cloud. A burst of color extends out from the typography, indicating the speed of innovation.

Secondary horizontal parallelograms support the theme typography, indicating VMware’s rich ecosystem of partners and customers embarking on this journey with us. All of these elements move across a dramatic background of outer space—full of infinite possibilities. 

The design system is bold and clear with a strong sense of shared trajectory toward a new cloud-smart destination.
